Campaign & Marketing Manager – EW Payloads
At Leonardo, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Campaign and Marketing Manager to join our EW Payloads team. The Electronics UK Business Unit designs, develops and produces a wide range of products and solutions for air, land and maritime platforms that include integrated mission systems, radars and sensors, electronic warfare systems, on-board avionics and communications, air launched effects and a range of support solutions.
The role will be responsible for BriteStorm sales campaigns within NATO and to lead all marketing management for the capability. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of both the UK and international defence and aerospace market. They should understand the critical importance of EW in coalition operations. The role will include considerable external level engagement with platform operators, commercial partners, mission data integrators and end users. The candidate must therefore have excellent communication skills and be credible when engaging with customers to help shape and influence the requirements. The role will require leadership qualities when dealing with internal stakeholders and supporting Integrated Campaign teams.
What you’ll bring
1. Secure order intake to meet forecast targets for current and future years by generating and managing a portfolio of key campaigns and opportunities.
2. Work closely with Integrated Campaign Teams and across the wider company to lead and/or support bid activity.
3. Develop and maintain relationships with customers, end users and industrial partners.
4. Fulfil a critical coordination role, developing and maintaining relationships with key internal stakeholders including International Marketing, the Capability function, Sector IPTs and other functional areas.
5. Utilise internal company procedures to ensure that opportunities are identified, tracked and accurately reported to senior management.
6. Lead all marketing management for BriteStorm products.
7. A marketing plan should be produced which aligns with the 5-year sales forecast and provide a clear understanding of where marketing can influence customer perception.
8. A traditional and Digital engagement plan should be developed, to include but not limited to trade shows, white papers, capability briefings, LinkedIn campaigns and thought leadership articles.
9. Marketing materials and customer deliverables (presentations, briefings, models, data sheets, website) to be fully overhauled and refreshed.
10. Relevant sector experience and commercial knowledge. In particular, knowledge of the value of EW and Air platforms.
11. Self-starter and highly motivated. Able to set short and long-term planning goals in line with campaign and business needs.
12. Innovative thinker able to anticipate and overcome problems in a complex international sales environment.
