Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Domestic Heating Estimator to join our team. This role is key in supporting our domestic clients, from homeowners to landlords, by preparing accurate quotations and delivering expert advice on heating systems. You will be responsible for carrying out site assessments, producing detailed estimates, and guiding clients through their options to ensure they receive the most suitable, cost-effective solutions.
The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge of domestic heating systems with excellent communication skills, enabling them to explain technical details in a clear and approachable way. You will be highly organized, capable of managing multiple enquiries at once, and committed to delivering exceptional service to every client. Key Responsibilities
* Take the lead in preparing accurate estimates and quotations for domestic heating projects, ensuring value for money and profitability.
* Carry out site surveys and assessments to produce tailored solutions that meet each homeowner's needs.
* Provide clear advice and recommendations to domestic clients, ensuring they understand system options, costs, and benefits.
* Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with homeowners, landlords, and letting agents, acting as their trusted heating advisor.
* Identify opportunities for additional domestic work such as boiler replacements, system upgrades, and maintenance packages.
* Ensure all quotations comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practice for domestic heating.
* Support the wider business by assisting with the preparation of tenders, frameworks, and small-scale contracts where domestic works are involved.
Knowledge & Experience
* Strong background in estimating and quoting domestic heating systems, including boilers, central heating, hot water systems, and associated controls.
* Knowledge of relevant domestic heating products, current regulations, and industry standards.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical domestic clients.
* Confident and professional, with a focus on customer care and client satisfaction.
* Highly organized and able to manage multiple estimates, deadlines, and follow-ups with domestic clients.
* Proficient in MS Office and familiar with digital estimating/quoting tools.
* Experience in developing domestic business opportunities and managing customer accounts.
* Exposure to a wide domestic client base, including private homeowners, landlords, housing associations, and letting agents (preferred).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £24,561.72-£50,000.00 per year
