Overview
The role: The Warehouse Administrative Assistant supports warehouse operations by handling administrative and clerical tasks. This role ensures accurate recordkeeping, assists with inventory management, coordinates shipments, and maintains effective communication between warehouse staff, customer service, and management.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, inventory levels, and warehouse transactions.
* Prepare shipping documents, purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes.
* Coordinate with logistics providers, suppliers, and internal departments regarding shipments and deliveries.
* Assist in stock control by performing regular inventory checks and data entry into warehouse management systems.
* File and organise warehouse documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Support the Warehouse Manager in scheduling deliveries and managing warehouse workflow.
* Handle correspondence, emails, and phone calls related to warehouse operations.
* Generate and distribute reports (inventory, shipping, receiving, etc.) to management.
* Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards within the warehouse environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience in administrative or warehouse support roles.
* Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite, especially Excel; familiarity with ERP/WMS systems preferred).
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively under pressure.
* Basic understanding of inventory, logistics, and warehouse operations.
