An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered General Nurse to undertake a Band 7 Nurse Practitioner or Paramedic Practitioner role in one of our Urgent Treatment Centres/Walk-in Centres.
The UTCWIC assesses and treats patients with minor illnesses and injuries. They are open from 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week.
The service is nurse-led and offers both appointment and walk-in services.
Main duties of the job
* The post holder will work within a team as an autonomous practitioner, accountable for the healthcare management of the patient group.
* Perform holistic assessments, interpret, diagnose, treat, and discharge patients or determine the most appropriate pathway.
* Take charge of shifts and manage service provision in the absence of the Clinical Nurse Manager/Team Leader.
* Support and develop others to ensure high-quality service delivery, aligned with Personal Performance Planning and Clinical Supervision.
* Work flexibly across all Walk-in Centre services and shift patterns across specified locations.
* Ensure the delivery of the quality strategy within the area, establishing systems and processes.
