Job Description
United Living Infrastructure Services business, which supports the design, maintenance and development of critical energy and water infrastructure for the UK’s largest network of owner/operators and private industrial clients.
The business has been highly successful and is rapidly expanding to meet client demands and our significant growth targets for the future.
Advice and Guidance
The purpose of this role is to work alongside the HR Business Partner to provide an effective service to our
1. Be the first point of contact for HR queries such as queries relating to terms and conditions, HR policies and procedures, and pay
2. Support managers from start to finish on ER matters such as investigations, performance and/or conduct issues, disciplinaries and grievances
3. Support managers on absence management of employees including arranging occupational health needs, unauthorised absence, long and short term sickness and managing absence under the Bradford Factor process
4. Provide and (at times design) training on HR matters as and when required to the Pillar
5. Support the HR Business Partner and at times lead on organisational change activities such as TUPEs, restructures and redundancies
HR Projects
6. Support the ULIS HR team in the implementation and deliver of the People strategy
7. Lead and/or support on any HR projects as required by the Pillar or Business at the time
Payroll
8. Ensure that all payroll instructions are prepared, logged and checked in time for the monthly payroll run, this includes, contractual variations, new starters, leavers, contractual benefits, and employee benefits.
9. Provide sickness reports that confirms paid and unpaid sickness for the monthly payroll run.
HR Database and Reporting
10. Responsible for updating and managing the HR ER database
11. Run routine HR reports such as a monthly Bradford Factor report for the Pillar
12. Review and Monitor key payroll reports such as maternity and National Minimum wage reports and action accordingly ensuring that the company maintains compliance
13. Update and maintain the HR system’s records
14. Run and provide ad hoc HR reports as and when required by the Business Partner, Pillar and/or Business
Leaver Administration
15. Carry out exit interviews to support retention plans
Other Administrative Duties
16. Support with any administrative tasks related to the Pillar as and when required
17. Maintain and update process notes for all HR Advisor duties.
18. Ensure that all aspects of data protection and confidentiality are maintained at all times.
19. Any other duties as and when required.
Qualifications
HR related qualification or Level 5 or above.
