Facilities Coordinator – Temp 6 months - £18.00 - £21.00 per hour – Central London
London University is seeking an experienced Facilities Coordinator to support their Estates Department at their Central London campus.
This is a temporary role to start ASAP for a 6-month period, paying between £18.00 and £21.00 per hour.
The role will be based on-site, Monday to Friday.
The Facilities Coordinator will support the Head of Teaching Space Operations and the Teaching Spaces Project Officer in delivering improvements and managing change across the Estates portfolio, specifically related to teaching spaces. Responsibilities include:
1. Assist with the coordination of the teaching spaces audit.
2. Collaborate with estates colleagues to ensure the smooth rollout of the teaching spaces furniture asset tagging process.
3. Support teaching space refurbishment projects, including booking rooms and communicating with stakeholders.
4. Oversee refurbishment projects on-site, ensuring quality standards are met.
5. Assist with the authorisation to work process, ensuring contractors and suppliers are compliant before entering the site, including reviewing risk assessments.
6. Support procurement of furniture for teaching spaces.
7. Maintain awareness of Fire, Health, and Safety Regulations.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Operational experience in Facilities Management, preferably within Higher Education or a similar environment.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
* Strong IT skills (MS Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel, etc.).
* Experience with integrated estates management systems.
* Project management experience.
* Knowledge of service specifications, contracts, and SLAs.
* IOSH qualification.
