Senior Project Manager (Utilities) – Power Apps, SharePoint & Digital Delivery
Inside IR35 Duration: Initial 6-12 month contract Location: West Yorkshire (Hybrid - 1-2 days per week on-site)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering multiple projects involving Microsoft Power Apps, SharePoint and digital projects within utilities, infrastructure, engineering, asset management, or other highly regulated environments. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of 2-3 medium-sized technology projects, taking ownership from initial concept through to successful implementation. These projects are focused on business applications, digital solutions and operational improvements rather than infrastructure or support activities. Many of these initiatives are currently at an early stage, with only high-level concepts and initial documentation in place. The Project Manager will be responsible for shaping these ideas into fully defined projects and driving them through delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple projects from initiation through to successful delivery.
- Manage stakeholders across business, technology and operational teams.
- Define project scope, governance, plans, risks and delivery approaches.
- Coordinate Agile and Waterfall delivery teams.
- Drive the implementation of new business applications and digital solutions.
- Ensure projects are delivered to agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager delivering technology and business change projects.
- Experience managing projects involving Microsoft Power Apps and SharePoint.
- Experience delivering React or Fluid React-based solutions (Fluid Framework).
- Strong stakeholder management and business engagement skills.
- Experience delivering projects from concept through to implementation.
- Experience working across both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
- Ability to work independently and drive delivery within complex organisations.
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ or equivalent certification.
Highly Desirable
- Utilities sector experience (water, energy, gas, electricity, telecoms or similar).
- Experience delivering Operational Technology (OT) projects.
- Experience within asset-intensive, engineering, infrastructure or regulated environments.
- Experience working with telemetry, monitoring systems, field technology or operational data platforms.
