Nigel Wright is delighted to be working exclusively in the recruitment of a Lead Generator for a well‑established UK manufacturer with strong growth plans. This is a brand new role and a fantastic opportunity to join a respected, growth orientated business and shape this role which will focus on identifying new opportunities, engaging prospective customers, and building a high‑quality pipeline for the sales team. This role will be office based from my client's site in Gateshead.
About the role:
Working closely with the Head of the brand, you will take full “cradle to grave” ownership of the lead generation process. This role is all about proactively identifying project opportunities, engaging prospective customers, and building a high-quality pipeline that feeds the external sales team.
* Proactively identify and research project leads
* Make outbound calls to introduce products and qualify opportunities
* Handle inbound enquiries via phone and email
* Maintain accurate CRM records and track all leads through the cycle
* Keep long‑term project leads warm and follow up at key stages
* Produce simple weekly reports on pipeline activity and progress
* Support sales and marketing with data, updates and admin tasks
Experience / Skills
* 3+ years’ experience in lead generation, internal sales, BD or telemarketing
* Confident communicator, comfortable with cold calling
* Strong Excel and CRM skills
* Detail‑oriented, organised, proactive
* Experience in a product‑led or project‑driven environment is ideal
