* Company description:

Within our Facilities Management division, the Southwest Core team plays a crucial role in the day-to-day delivery of reactive and preventative works across a diverse range of properties and systems within our client's sites - as a Gas Engineer. Within the team, you will be expected to provide comprehensive repairs and maintenance to a range of commercial instillations.
Position:
* You will be responsible for performing various reactive and preventative, trade-related duties listed below to enable BJF Group to meet and exceed its contractual obligations with its clients across multiple estates of varying ages and building types.
* General plumbing duties, repair works and minor instillations of low temperature hot water and heating systems.
* To carry out and complete all works to a high standard, in a competent manner and to leave the site of works in a clean and tidy condition.
* To liaise with other staff and external contractors in a positive and cooperative manner and as necessary to ensure the timely and proper completion of works to support reasonable operational expectations.
* To ensure appropriate and timely completion of tasks, followed by submission of all relevant paperwork, job/time sheets and any necessary certification accordingly.
* To work with line manager and provide advice and information relating to any technical matters.
* Ensure that any required qualifications for this position remain valid and that any necessary training is arranged and undertaken in accordance with appropriate timescales. To attend meetings, training sessions and conferences as required.
* Be commercially aware and be responsible for ordering required materials from suppliers in an efficient manner, following the company's purchasing procedures.
* To act at all times in accordance with the Group's rules, policies, procedures and ethos.
* To supervise, direct and positively motivate junior staff and/or apprentices who may be appointed to assist and support the wider performance of this role.
* Be flexible and undertake other reasonable duties to accommodate operational requirements.
* Understand your responsibility for the health, safety and wellbeing of your team and the wider group, whilst promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout.
Requirements:
* Trade related Qualification Essential
* CCN1 (or COCDN1), COCN1 (or CODNCO1), CIGA1, CDGA1LL
* CCCN1, CCLP1
* Experience carrying out trade related maintenance, installation and fault finds
* Experience of planned preventative maintenance and reactive works / tasks completed within KPI's
* Understanding of Safety Regulations
* Knowledge of different Maintenance Techniques
* Ability to work to set targets
* Excellent customer service

* Initiative to problem solve
