About The Opportunity
* Outlier is looking for talented writers with fluency in English to help train generative artificial intelligence models.
* This reading and writing-intensive freelance opportunity is remote and offers flexible hours, allowing you to work whenever is best for you.
You may contribute your expertise by…
* Reading English text to rank responses produced by an AI model.
* Writing and rewriting prompts and responses, which may involve research and fact-checking.
* Assessing the factuality and relevance of AI-generated text.
Examples of Desirable Expertise
* Experience as a professional writer or editor.
* Currently enrolled in or completed an associate degree or higher in a writing-related discipline at an accredited institution.
* A strong sense of writing style with exceptional English spelling, grammar, logic, and reasoning skills.
* Attention to detail and the ability to clearly explain the strengths and weaknesses of a given piece of text.
Payment
* USD $15 per hour on average for core project work in the US.
* Estimated up to £11/hr in the UK.
* Estimated up to $20 CAD/hr in Canada.
* Rates vary based on expertise, skills, location, and project needs. Higher rates may be offered to PhDs. Lower rates may apply during onboarding or overtime phases. Incentive payments may be available for certain projects.
