Overview
As a Store Manager, you run a store with an entrepreneurial spirit, putting customers, colleagues and local communities first. You’ll lead your team to ensure the store is a great place to work and shop.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team to create a culture where customer experience is the best in the market, aligned with the Morrisons brand.
* Drive the store’s commercial performance as if it were your own business, constantly seeking ways to improve the offering.
* Manage all people activities including recruitment, induction, training and development, building an inclusive culture that empowers everyone to deliver great service.
* Build and manage relationships, understanding the role the store plays in supporting the local community.
* Ensure operating hours meet customer and business needs; this may require early mornings, late nights, weekends and flexibility.
* If the store offers post office services, you may need to undergo a mandatory P250 check, which includes a financial check.
About You
Our Store Managers typically have prior experience in fast‑paced, service‑focused environments such as retail, convenience or hospitality. While not strictly required, you should have:
* A passion for spotting and developing talent.
* The ability to coach, motivate and inspire to create a successful team culture.
* The ability to influence, listen and understand others’ perspectives to inspire new ways of doing things.
* A willingness to roll up your sleeves to support the team in delivering store objectives.
* A high level of resilience and the ability to work through problems.
