As an SEMH Teacher, you will: Create and deliver engaging, tailored lessons that support the varied needs of pupils with SEMH. Maintain a calm, structured, and supportive classroom that encourages emotional stability and personal development. Work collaboratively with TAs, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to design and implement individual learning and behaviour plans. Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to promote motivation, resilience, and belonging. Track progress, adjust approaches, and offer constructive feedback to support ongoing growth. Requirements for the SEMH Teacher role: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Experience working with pupils with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs (highly desirable). Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills. A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting students with additional needs. An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
