Full-Time Reception Class Teaching Assistant – WA3

Contract: Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 3:15pm
Salary: £90 – £100 per day (dependent on experience)
A warm and supportive primary school in the WA3 area who we work closely with is seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic Reception Class Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from January 2026. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about helping young children settle into school life, develop early learning skills, and thrive socially and emotionally.
You will be joining a dedicated team who value collaboration, creativity, and child-centred learning, making this a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in shaping pupils' first experiences of school.

Requirements:
* Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
* Experience supporting children in Early Years (EYFS) desirable
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Warm, patient, reliable and positive manner
* Ability to use initiative and work well as part of a team
Key Responsibilities:
* Build positive, trusting relationships to support children’s confidence, independence and engagement
* Assist with Early Years learning activities across the classroom and outdoor provision
* Support children with routines, transitions and emotional regulation
* Encourage positive communication and social interaction
* Work closely with the class teacher and Early Years team to support learning and track progress
* Help create a calm, stimulating and supportive learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
