The successful candidate will work as part of a small permissions team and will support the overall programme of major permissions applications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting the strategic direction, coordinating with the team in working towards robust TCPA and DCO applications.
* Planning and managing the TCPA and DCO application processes.
* Securing and managing resources to deliver successful applications.
* Overseeing the TCPA and DCO application delivery activities, including stakeholder engagement, consultation, and drafting of permissions documents.
* Liaising with regulators, community partnerships, and other parties involved in the permissions process.
* Supporting the planning and implementation of consultation activities.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, standards, and best practices for TCPA and DCO applications.
* Monitoring and reporting on the progress and performance of the TCPA and DCO application process.
Requirements:
* A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, such as planning, engineering, environmental science.
* Experience in preparing compliant TCPA and DCO application packages for consenting complex major infrastructure projects in the UK through the Planning Act 2008.
* Knowledge of the Planning Act 2008, National Policy Statements, and other relevant legislation and guidance for DCO applications.
* Excellent collaboration, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to lead and work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
