Job Title: Reunification Family Support Worker Salary: £25,571 to £27,321 per annum 30 Hours per Week Location: Home based and Pershore Civic Centre; other offices are accessible Team: Reunification Team Fixed Term Contract for 9 months. The Reunification Team is an exciting new venture within Worcestershire Children’s Services set up to focus on supporting children and young people to return safely to their families from care, adhering to the best practice NSPCC Reunification Framework. As a Reunification Family Support Worker you will be a critical part of the team! Working closely with social workers, families, and partner agencies, you will be delivering practical and emotional support to parents to help create a stable, nurturing home environment. This includes preparing families for reunification, promoting positive parenting, supporting behaviour management, observing contact sessions, monitoring progress, and addressing any barriers to successful reintegration as well as providing flexible support during transition and post return home. Regular home visits, clear communication and detailed record-keeping are essential to ensure the safety and well-being of the child who remains at the heart of all decisions. Our FSWs develop close, trusting working relationships with families and are crucial in enabling the return home to be stable and positive for the child. This is an exciting opportunity to broaden your skills and develop your knowledge specifically within the area of reunification. We work collaboratively alongside the social work teams both in locality safeguarding and throughcare. The team is dynamic and works flexibly to best meet the needs of the child and the family. This role is 4 days and can be worked flexibly across the week and we would like you to start as soon as possible but latest by September.
