We are seeking a caring and patient SEN 1:1 Support Assistant to provide tailored support for a pupil with special educational needs. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and thrive both academically and socially. Starting ASAP.
Duties as a SEN 121 Support Assistant:
* Work one-to-one with a designated pupil, following individual education and behaviour plans.
* Support learning in class, adapting tasks to meet the child’s specific needs.
* Encourage independence, build confidence, and promote positive social interactions.
* Assist with personal care or mobility needs if required.
* Liaise with teachers, the SENCO, and parents/carers to track progress and share feedback.
Ideal SEN 121 Support Assistant:
* Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting (SEN experience desirable but not essential).
* Empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills as SEN 121 Support Assistant.
* Ability to build a trusting relationship with the child and work collaboratively with staff.
* A flexible, proactive approach and willingness to learn new strategies.
* Valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
