As a Computer Studies Teacher, you will deliver engaging and innovative lessons that prepare students for further education and future careers in technology. Responsibilities of a Computer Studies Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging Computer Studies lessons in line with the national curriculum Teach topics including programming, coding, digital literacy, and computer systems Support students in developing technical and problem-solving skills Assess, monitor, and track student progress effectively Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of learners of varying abilities Maintain positive classroom behaviour and a productive learning environment Encourage creativity, innovation, and independent learning Work collaboratively with teaching staff and school leaders Requirements of a Computer Studies Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related subject Experience teaching Computer Studies in schools is desirable Strong classroom and behaviour management skills Excellent communication and organisational abilities A passion for technology and student achievement An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing a new application.
