Advanced Clinical Practitioner
Band 7 - 33.75 hours per week - Permanent/Secondment
An opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner or Advanced Nurse Practitioner has arisen within Hospital at Night Team within Division of Medicine and Unscheduled Care in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. We are seek a suitably motivated colleague to join our well-established team on a permanent or secondment basis. Training will be provided. If successful candidate is internal to NHSG, secondment will be offered for 12 months.
As an ANP/ACP joining this team you will be expected to work predominantly nights with some expectation to work days when required to represent the team’s attendance at daytime meetings and support our medical colleagues induction.
You will hold a PgDip in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent and have experience working in an advanced practice role.
Maintaining and developing your advanced practice skills, knowledge and competence as well as supporting that of others within the team, will also be an expectation of you in this role. We endeavour to provide ‘clinical supervision’ time to support your development. We pride ourselves as an advanced, approachable and supportive team working as ‘one team’ alongside all staff disciplines to support patients overnight. This role is unique allowing variation of managing the deteriorating patient, and clinical emergency response alongside unscheduled patient clerking also with leadership and management responsibilities for trainees and Senior Healthcare Support Worker team..
Despite working overnight, 3 nights / week within self-rostering system can promote a healthy work/life balance.
