We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment.
Duties
* Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process
* Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations
* Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality
* Answer phone calls promptly and respond to inquiries with professionalism
* Process patient paperwork and insurance claims as required
* Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate smooth operations within the practice
* Handle billing inquiries and assist patients with payment processes
* Maintain a clean and organised reception area
Requirements
* Previous office experience is essential; administrative experience in a medical setting is highly desirable
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Proficient in using office equipment and computer software, including electronic health records (EHR) systems
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a calm demeanour
* A compassionate approach towards patient care and confidentiality
