The Role We are looking for a proactive Procurement Coordinator to join our Procurement & Logistics team in Sheffield.You’ll play an important part in ensuring materials and equipment are sourced efficiently and delivered on time to support operational requirements across the Group. Reporting to the Category Buyer, you’ll help maintain effective supplier relationships, manage stock levels, and provide administrative and analytical support to keep procurement activity running smoothly and compliantly. Key Responsibilities Support the Category Buyer in procuring materials and services to meet operational demand. Raise and expedite purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation. Maintain strong supplier relationships and communicate delivery status updates across departments. Verify supplier certifications and ensure compliance with company standards. Monitor and manage stock levels in line with company stock policy and objectives. Investigate and resolve invoice or pricing discrepancies, liaising with suppliers and accounts. Report on aged stock and support process improvements to prevent recurrence. Provide general administrative and reporting support to the procurement function. (Please note: this list is not exhaustive and additional duties may be required in line with business needs.) What We’re Looking For Sound understanding of procurement, commercial, and logistics operations. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Strong organisational and time management skills – able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Self-motivated, with good initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving. High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
