Associate Vice Principal – Aerospace & Defence Industry

Location: UK / Remote with Regular Travel

Salary: £86,000 – £115,000 + Bonus & Executive Benefits

They are now seeking a dynamic Associate Vice Principal to join their Aerospace & Defence vertical — an exceptional opportunity for a senior leader ready to shape strategy, influence C-level relationships, and drive commercial success in a rapidly evolving sector.


The Role

The Associate Vice Principal will play a pivotal role in developing and leading business growth initiatives within the Aerospace & Defence domain. Acting as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders, you will leverage advanced technologies and consulting expertise to help clients achieve their digital transformation and sustainability goals.

This is a client-facing leadership position, responsible for building executive relationships, leading major sales engagements, and defining bespoke solutions that deliver measurable business value. The role offers autonomy, global exposure, and the chance to make a significant impact on both client outcomes and the broader strategic direction of the business.


Key Responsibilities

* Engage C-Level Stakeholders: Build and nurture relationships with CXOs and key decision-makers across the Aerospace & Defence ecosystem, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner.
* Lead Strategic Sales: Drive account strategy and sales execution, leveraging the full portfolio of digital and technological solutions to support clients’ transformation agendas.
* Shape Digital Futures: Oversee complex consulting engagements that deliver innovative, data-driven strategies and operational improvements.
* Design Winning Solutions: Lead opportunity qualification, solution design, and proposal development in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
* Champion Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external partners across geographies to maximise client value and ensure delivery excellence.
* Drive Thought Leadership: Contribute to marketing, industry events, and thought leadership initiatives that strengthen the organisation’s presence in the Aerospace & Defence sector.
* Own the Sales Cycle: Manage end-to-end sales processes including forecasting, cost estimation, negotiation, and contract finalisation.
* Accelerate Transformation: Serve as a catalyst for innovation, driving continuous improvement and sustainable growth for both clients and the business.


Candidate Profile

We are seeking a highly accomplished professional with a blend of commercial acumen, strategic insight, and technological fluency.

Essential Experience & Skills:

* Significant experience within Aerospace & Defence or consulting for the sector, with a strong focus on digital transformation.
* Proven ability to develop business and deliver strategic consulting engagements across R&D, manufacturing, or supply chain environments.
* Strong industry network and ability to engage effectively with C-suite stakeholders from day one.
* Demonstrable track record of driving technology-led growth, including IoT, AI, cybersecurity, IT/OT integration, and digital engineering solutions.
* Expertise in proposal creation and value-based selling to executive-level clients.
* Experience managing international, cross-border projects.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on innovation, operational efficiency, and client value creation.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluent in English.
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Science, or IT (advanced degrees such as MBA or PhD advantageous).


The Offer

* Competitive base salary £86,000 – £115,000, plus annual performance bonus and executive-level benefits.
