Overview
We are recruiting a Community Manager for the Joyce and Snells Estate on Fore Street, Edmonton. This role is part of our Community Partnership Team and works closely with Decant and Regeneration teams during the major regeneration programme.
Responsibilities
* Deliver bespoke housing and tenancy management services, supporting vulnerable households and communities.
* Guide, support, coach and empower residents to manage independent living tasks, access benefits, sustain tenancy, reduce rent arrears, and minimise debt.
* Reduce anti‑social behaviour and minimise social isolation by arranging healthcare and community resources.
* Provide comprehensive property management: conduct block and estate inspections ensuring health and safety standards.
* Work with partners across the council, community, and local authorities to provide local solutions and address concerns.
* Assist households with rehousing during the regeneration programme.
* Respond to occasional weekend and evening duties and out‑of‑hours cover.
* Operate in high‑risk environments, including areas affected by sexual exploitation, organised crime, squatting, substance misuse, and potential confrontation with hostile or volatile situations.
Qualifications
* Passion for helping residents and community development, with a professional, non‑judgmental approach to complex needs.
* High physical confidence and situational awareness for safe engagement in hostile or volatile environments.
* Ability to work independently, coordinate with stakeholders, and provide local solutions.
* Experience in housing or social care sector is desirable (not required).
* No line‑management or supervisory duties attached to this role.
