A vibrant and innovative secondary school in Reading is seeking a qualified DT Teacher to join their dedicated faculty from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a growing school where technology and design play a key role in the curriculum.
The role will involve teaching KS3 and KS4 Design Technology, with scope for A-Level teaching depending on experience. Areas of focus include Product Design, Engineering, and Systems and Control. The school boasts an excellent suite of resources, including CAD/CAM systems, 3D printers, and laser cutters.
You will join a collaborative department known for its forward-thinking projects, community outreach, and excellent student outcomes. The school also offers strong ECT support and CPD for experienced staff.
Experience and Qualifications
• DT, Engineering, or Product Design degree with QTS
• Experience with CAD, laser cutting, and workshop tools
• Able to teach across DT specialisms at KS3/4 (KS5 desirable)
• Passionate about innovation and hands-on education
• Right to work in the UK
