Surgical Commercial Partner – Ophthalmic Devices (Glaucoma)

About the Role
We are partnering with a leading global ophthalmic-focused organisation to recruit a Surgical Partner within its surgical devices business.
This is a high-impact commercial and clinical role focused on supporting the adoption of an innovative glaucoma surgical technology that is rapidly transforming treatment pathways for patients with uncontrolled intraocular pressure despite maximal medical therapy.
The role combines commercial execution, surgical training, and key opinion leader engagement, working directly with glaucoma surgeons and multidisciplinary hospital teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute territory strategy across NHS and private hospital accounts in the North of the UK and Scotland
* Identify, onboard, and train new surgical centres and expand usage within existing accounts
* Deliver and support operating theatre-based training and procedural education
* Build and maintain strong relationships with glaucoma consultants and key opinion leaders
About You
We are looking for a commercially strong and clinically credible individual who thrives in a surgical environment.
Essential experience & skills
* 5+ years’ experience in medical device sales or hospital-based key account management
* Proven success in delivering strong commercial results in a competitive environment
* Experience working in or around the operating theatre (OR) environment
* Strong relationship-building skills with surgeons and clinical stakeholders
* Ability to influence clinical preference and drive procedural adoption
* Experience in ophthalmology or surgical specialities
* Understanding of NHS structures and procurement pathways
* Scientific or healthcare-related degree
