Join our team in Blackburn and take charge of all warehousing, stock control, and team leadership. Location: Blackburn | Salary: £40,000 per annum | Hours: Monday–Friday, Full-time Reporting to: Plant Manager | Responsible for: All warehouse personnel Role Overview Manage the full warehousing function – including material handling, stock accuracy, forklift training, and process improvements – ensuring safe, efficient operations and continuous improvement. Responsibilities * Supervise and lead warehouse team, manage absences, overtime, holidays, and weekly performance reviews * Maintain high health & safety and housekeeping standards * Oversee all material movements to ensure safety, accuracy, and efficiency * Conduct regular stock checks, manage data accuracy, identify ageing stock, and implement process improvements * Liaise with transport to reduce costs and enhance efficiency * Improve storage and handling methods to minimize errors and optimize costs * Oversee accurate receipt of all inbound materials, resolve queries with Accounts * Manage silo stock, raw material deliveries, and label stock control * Support Sales and Customer Service with packing and dispatching samples * Maintain availability and movement of pallets and cages across site * Train and support forklift drivers, ensure all licensing is up to date * Investigate incidents, implement preventative measures, and ensure regular equipment servicing * Maintain a strong safety culture and compliance with all company policies * Participate in lean and continuous improvement initiatives What We’re Looking For * Proven warehouse or logistics management experience * Strong leadership and communication skills * Solid knowledge of stock control, warehouse systems, and health & safety * Confident with IT systems and Microsoft Office * FLT license and driver training experience preferred What We Offer * A key leadership role with real scope for process improvement * Opportunity to make a tangible impact on warehouse performance * Supportive team and long-term career progression
