Overview
Young Person's Support Worker role at Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA). This is a permanent, full-time position based in Retford with a salary of £24,030 - £24,513 per annum.
Responsibilities
* Provide a strengths-based support service to young people to build skills, confidence and independence.
* Advocate for tenants and liaise with agencies to help access permanent accommodation.
* Support young people to access education or employment training.
* Communicate effectively, listening and engaging with young people; strong written and verbal English are essential.
* Promote independence and act as a role model to create a positive home environment in line with local authority care plans.
* Work as part of a team in a busy service and contribute to a flexible rota schedule.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Good written and verbal English; ability to listen and communicate effectively.
* Driving licence and access to a vehicle are highly desirable due to location.

Working hours and location
This is a 37-hour-per-week role based in Retford. We operate 7 days a week, 365 days a year and require flexibility to work on a rota with typical shift patterns of 07:00 – 14:30 and 14:30 – 22:00.
