The Workshop Supervisor - Biggleswade role at Liebherr Group invites applicants to support the Earthmoving Workshop and drive performance, customer focus, teamwork, and leadership.
Responsibilities
* Provide hands‑on technical assistance to Workshop Engineers as required.
* Assist the Workshop Manager with work planning.
* Collaborate with the Workshop Manager to identify and recommend solutions for closing skill gaps for Engineers and Apprentices.
* Work with the customer in mind, contributing ideas and initiatives that improve internal and external relationships.
* Drive increased customer satisfaction by ensuring workmanship meets the high quality expected from a leading manufacturer.
* Support administration of the quality control system within the Workshop.
* Handle administrative tasks required for the role.
* Prepare estimates as required.
* Promote a positive and professional image to customers, both internal and external, especially in face‑to‑face discussions at the workshop site.
* Provide effective leadership, training and development of direct reports.
* Maintain a healthy and safe working environment.
* Initiate liaison with other internal departments to identify opportunities with existing customers.
* Identify opportunities and contribute to winning ideas that further develop systems, processes and working practices.
* Proactively seek new opportunities to develop personal skills and apply them within the Workshop.
* Ensure self‑image contributes to promoting the company’s business.
Profile
* Completion of a relevant apprenticeship in a similar environment.
* Demonstrated application of technical skills in a similar industry.
* Good communication skills at all levels.
* Flexible approach to work.
