Overview
We have a fantastic opportunity available to lead our Exercise Referral Scheme and our Funded Community Programmes in our new partnership. If this sort of challenge excites and energises you, you could be wearing our Halo.
We are on the lookout for a high energy Healthy Communities Manager inspired by a fast-paced performance driven culture. This role will help us to lead and drive our community, health and inequality outcomes with Torfaen County Borough Council and other key partners.
Halo Leisure is an award winning social enterprise, registered charity and leading leisure trust operating 32 facilities across Herefordshire, Bridgend County, Merthyr Tydfil, Gloucestershire, Shropshire and Wiltshire.
Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver the Exercise Referral Scheme and funded community programmes.
* Spearhead the delivery of funded community programmes in response to local need.
* Collaborate with Torfaen County Borough Council and health/primary care partners to drive community and health outcomes.
* Work as part of the leadership team to support Halo Leisure and our partners in Torfaen to achieve the mission of "Creating Healthier Communities."
* Grow and develop the programme portfolio with the support of an established exercise referral team.
Qualifications & Experience
* A successful track record within a Health or Fitness environment, including initiation and delivery of Health and Fitness services to the public.
* Experience of working on a GP Exercise Referral Scheme.
* Experience in delivering funded programmes to tackle inequalities.
* Experience working with health and primary care partners.
