About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and hands‑on Service Engineer to join our professional team maintaining Cambi Thermal Hydrolysis Plants (THPs) across the UK and Europe. This role offers the opportunity to work on sustainability‑focused projects, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of cutting‑edge sludge treatment technology. As part of a dynamic team, you will contribute to essential operations that are vital to the circular economy. The position is based in Congleton.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out preventative annual maintenance on Cambi Thermal Hydrolysis Plants (THPs) across the UK and Europe.
* Work effectively within a team, supporting colleagues on‑site and at Cambi’s main UK office in Congleton.
* Manage stock control and order preparation at base when not travelling to sites.
* Ensure safety standards are adhered to at all times during on‑site and off‑site operations.
We Are Looking For Individuals Who Are
* Proactive, positive attitude and a strong team player.
* Ability to work in sometimes physically demanding environments within the sludge treatment industry.
* Willing to travel and work away from home for several weeks a year.
* Eager to learn new technologies.
Requirements
o Recent mechanical training or hands‑on experience as a time‑served fitter is highly desirable, but full training will be provided.
o Experience working in remote locations or away from home is a plus.
o Basic knowledge of IT would be beneficial, particularly in using software for inventory management and order processing.
o Welding, electrical or instrumentation experience is desirable though not essential.
o Full clean driver’s license is desirable though not essential.
