£28.63 Ltd per hour or equivalent, or £21.75 PAYE per hour
Full Job Description
Depending on the role, work may include:
1. Working with people on probation to analyze and address their behavior
2. Assessing offender needs
3. Preparing and delivering reports (Court, Parole, etc.)
4. Assessing and managing the risk of serious harm posed by individuals
5. Accurate case recording
6. Delivering and leading accredited programmes in adherence to the Programme Manual
7. Facilitating learning events, providing guidance, support, feedback, and mentoring to operational staff across the Probation Service through a programme of learning events
8. Accepting reasonable alterations and additional tasks of a similar level as necessary
Essential Requirements
1. Possession of a Probation Qualification Framework Graduate Diploma/Honours Degree in Community Justice, integrated with Level 5 Diploma in Probation Practice, or a recognized qualification by the Secretary of State for Justice as per Section 10 of the Offender Management Act 2007
2. Evidence of working for a recognized provider of probation services in the last 5 years
3. Experience and knowledge of evidence-based practice and risk/needs assessment tools, including OASys, SARA, and RSR, for risk assessment and management, including the ability to learn quickly
4. Experience of writing detailed reports to strict deadlines and quality standards, including Court reports and parole reports, including completion of the RSR tool
5. Experience of using and maintaining Probation Service computer-based systems such as NDelius and OASys to produce, update, and maintain records and documentation within agreed timescales
6. Working knowledge of Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements
