Job Title: Estimator – Facade & External Systems

I am working with a specialist contractor delivering high-quality external facade solutions across the UK. Our expertise spans rendering, External Wall Insulation (EWI), Steel Framing Systems (SFS), and a diverse range of cladding systems, including rainscreen, brickslip, and timber.
The Opportunity
My client is looking for a detail-driven and commercially aware Estimator to join our growing team. You’ll play a key role in pricing projects accurately, assessing specifications, and liaising closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure competitive, profitable bids. Whether it’s a standalone cladding package or a fully integrated facade system, you’ll bring clarity and control to our tendering process, helping us win the right work and deliver with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to produce accurate and detailed cost estimates.
Prepare bills of quantities, scopes of work, and value-engineered solutions across EWI, SFS, render, and cladding systems.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain up-to-date pricing and technical information.
Develop competitive bids for both negotiated and tendered opportunities.
Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and commercial staff to ensure smooth handovers and clear scope definition.
Track market rates, industry trends, and risk factors to inform pricing strategy.
Contribute to client presentations and pre-construction meetings when required.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as an Estimator within the facades, cladding or specialist sectors.
Commercially smart with a meticulous eye for detail and accuracy.
Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ConQuest, or similar) and Excel.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
