The Role
As an Experienced Teacher providing general cover, you will:
1. Deliver lessons across multiple subjects, following existing schemes of work
2. Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher
3. Maintain high standards of student behaviour and engagement
4. Support learning for students across KS3 and KS4
5. Assist with exam preparation, assessments, and classroom administration
6. Work closely with teaching staff to ensure smooth lesson handovers
7. Gain experience across different schools, departments, and educational settings
This role allows experienced teachers to make a direct impact on student learning while enjoying flexible working arrangements.
Requirements
To be considered for this general cover teacher role, you will need:
8. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
9. Recent teaching experience across Key Stages 3 and 4
10. Confidence delivering lessons in multiple subjects (general cover experience is advantageous)
11. Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
12. Ability to adapt to new schools and teaching environments
13. Eligibility to work in the UK
14. A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
