We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Building Surveyor to join a leading construction and property consultancy firm. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the success of a well-established organization.
Responsibilities:
1. Conducting building surveys and inspections to assess conditions, defects, and compliance with regulations.
2. Assisting in the preparation of reports, specifications, and schedules of work.
3. Assisting in the management of construction projects, including monitoring progress and quality.
4. Liaising with clients, contractors, and other professionals to ensure effective project coordination.
5. Conducting research and analysis on building materials, regulations, and industry standards.
6. Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and budget management.
7. Keeping up-to-date with relevant legislation, codes of practice, and industry trends.
Requirements:
8. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Building Surveyor or similar role.
9. Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying or a related field.
10. Strong knowledge of building regulations and construction processes.
11. Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software.
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
13. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
15. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.
