Cluster Financial Controller
Location: Based at DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Airport with regular travel to DoubleTree by Hilton, St Annes Mannor - Reading.

We are seeking an experienced Cluster Financial Controller to support two of our branded properties located at Manchester Airport and Reading. This senior, hands-on finance role is ideal for a qualified hotel finance professional with multi-site experience and strong commercial focus.

We are looking for someone that holds and enjoys maintaining high standards, with keen attention to detail. Applicants must be willing and capable of taking accountability and ownership for an on-site finance operation and be familiar with hospitality finance operations to be able to deliver the requirements of the owners and management company effectively.
Your role
Responsibilities of the Cluster Financial Controller will include but are not limited to:
Being responsible for the maintenance of the financial records of the hotels within the cluster.
Production of weekly forecasts to EBITDA, ensuring integrity of all processes and submissions.
Proactive cost control
Supervision of team and liaison with central teams to ensure across the cluster that the company standard is maintained for
- Weekly banking reconciliations and investigations of variances
- Revenue audits and variance analysis
- Internal controls are maintained, risk analysis and appropriate actions
- AP processing, 3-way match integrity, timeliness and accuracy.
- AR processing and debt collections
- Cost management/PO system integrity
- Contract reviews
- Supplier payment reviews
- Month End submissions to enable the central MA team can produce monthly P&Ls and balance sheets in a timely manner.
- Liaison with auditors and other third parties as required
- Annual budgeting
The ideal person for this role will be enthusiastic about change, focused on details, experienced at working to strict deadlines and proactive.
The core skills and experience required to succeed:
A structured approach to business planning and management;
Knowledge of IT systems that support financial and hotel objectives;
Precise analytical skills;
Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing both concisely and logically are a necessity as are advanced Excel knowledge, including complex spreadsheets;
To be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach and have experience in empowering a team to successfully meet expectations;
Results focused with an overwhelming desire to succeed.
Experience within the UK in a financial role is essential
Previous experience in hotels is preferred.
