Job Description
Proactively keep Production Control, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing updated daily on material shortages.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate with Leads and Supervisor to have parts kitted in a timely manner to ensure parts availability in support of production requirements.
* Ensure no “extra” kits or materials are on the production floor.
* Audit kits to ensure accuracy and appropriate presentation to the factory.
* Coordinate Kan-Ban levels to ensure the process has optimum stocking levels, cards are accurate and the area(s) are clean.
* Correct identified work in process inventories in BaaN.
* Expedite shortage parts through the Receiving process.
* Respond to Engineering Change Orders/Engineering Change Requests.
* Conduct audits to ensure that all inventory transactions occur in an accurate and timely manner.
* Lead cycle count of work in process.
* Participate in daily shift startup meetings and Primary Visual Display board maintenance.
* Perform job in a safety conscious and responsible manner with a focus on customer service and inventory accuracy.
* Comply with all company policies and procedures.
* Practice and maintain 5S standards within work area.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Prior experience working in a stockroom/shipping department is a plus.
* Computer skills: Basic proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, BaaN/MRP, Lotus Notes.
* Detail‑oriented, flexible, and able to accept change.
* Ability to read and understand units of measure.
* Willingness to cross‑train and work with other areas of Supply Chain.
* Strong prioritization and problem‑solving skills.
* Team‑oriented to accomplish required goals.
* Must be able to obtain forklift certification.
* Flexible and able to work overtime as required to support production needs.
Physical Capabilities
Based on Daily Work Schedule of 5 day work week, 8‑10 hour shift:
* Sitting: 1–2 hours.
* Walking (on concrete floor): 6–10 hours.
* Standing (on concrete floor): 6–10 hours.
* Lifting/Carrying: Up to 50 lbs frequently.
* Push/Pull: Up to 125 lbs frequently.
* Bending: Occasionally.
* Squatting: Occasionally.
* Climbing: Occasionally to frequently (up to 12 feet).
* Crawling: Occasionally to frequently.
* Reaching: Frequently.
* Twisting: Frequently.
