Job Description
Duties for the Accounts Payable Assistant:
3. Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
4. Reconcile supplier statements.
5. Prepare payment runs and maintain accurate payment records.
6. Monitor accounts payable mailbox and respond to queries in a timely manner.
7. Assist with month-end closing activities, including reporting and reconciliations.
8. Support internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
9. Maintain vendor records and ensure all data is up-to-date and accurate.
10. Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and systems.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Payable Assistant should have:
11. A background in accounting or finance.
12. Experience with accounts payable processes and financial systems.
13. A strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
14. Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
15. Proficiency in relevant accounting software and MS Excel.
16. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
