About the Role:
Connex Education are currently working very closely with a number of schools across Nottingham who are seeking experienced teaching assistants to support on both a full and part time basis. We are looking for staff who have experience working in a secondary school with students with SEND or behavioural needs, either 1-1 or in small groups.
About the School(s):
The schools we are supporting range from smaller campuses to large scale schools with students from years 7 to years 11. Most of the academies will require you to work within a set learning hub and float between mainstream classes also.
Assignment Details:
For this role we are looking for someone to start immediately, however a delayed start can be considered for the right person. You will be working full time (Mon to Fri) or on agreed part time days, throughout term time and will be required until July; potentially further.

Person Specification:
8. Have some experience working with young people with SEND in either a school setting or a similar environment
9. Be confident in your ability to support students with varied needs and/or challenging behaviours
10. Hold strong communication skills both orally and written.
11. Able to follow EHCP and care/learning plans effectively
12. Willing to undergo continual professional training.
13. Be reliable and committed to working within an education environment
14. Able to work under pressure effectively and ‘think on your feet’
15. Ambitious and enthusiastic with a ‘can do attitude’ and good sense of humour.
