Are you passionate about legal learning and committed to raising standards across the legal sector?
About the Role
We're launching a new Internal Learning Academy to future-proof our talent pipeline and support operational excellence. As a Legal Trainer, you'll play a pivotal role in equipping our litigation and bulk recovery teams with the legal knowledge, compliance awareness, and professional skills they need to excel.
You'll design and deliver engaging, auditable legal training that strengthens technical capability, reduces risk, and supports career progression — from onboarding new legal talent to refreshing knowledge across the firm.
This is a hands-on learning and development role, not a fee-earning position — ideal for someone who thrives on helping others grow and who can translate complex legal concepts into practical, job-ready learning.
What You'll Do
· Deliver legal and compliance training across teams (e.g. litigation, bulk recovery, pre-legal support).
· Create and maintain learning content aligned with SRA, GDPR, AML, and client contractual obligations.
· Lead onboarding for new legal hires and career switchers, embedding legal and procedural knowledge from day one.
· Run quarterly legal refreshers, CPD-accredited sessions, and tailored development workshops.
· Support career pathways through clear learning milestones and mapped competencies.
· Collaborate with managers and subject experts to ensure consistency and audit-readiness of training.
· Partner with the IT Trainer to embed legal workflows into digital tools (e.g. CMS, Copilot, MS365).
What We're Looking For
· Proven experience designing and delivering legal training in a professional setting (in-house or external).
· Qualified legal professional (e.g. solicitor, CILEX) with a solid understanding of litigation processes and regulatory frameworks.
· Proven ability to translate legal complexity into clear, practical training.
· Passion for developing others and improving legal service delivery.
· Comfortable using digital learning tools and platforms (e.g., LMS, Microsoft Teams, video modules).
· Experience or exposure to property litigation and/or debt recovery is desirable
Why Join Us?
· Play a key role in shaping an Internal Learning Academy.
· Contribute directly to colleague development, legal excellence, and firm-wide risk reduction.
· Join a firm investing in people, technology, and long-term success.
· Enjoy a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and career growth.
