A well‑established firm with one of Scotland’s largest Employment, Immigration and Pensions teams is seeking an ambitious solicitor to join its growing Glasgow team.
You will work with a diverse client base—from major public sector bodies and global organisations to SMEs and individual employees. You will be part of a highly accredited team known for its balanced perspective and strong track record in both advisory work and contentious matters.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide clear, practical advice on day‑to‑day employment law matters.
2. Prepare ET1/ET3 pleadings and manage Employment Tribunal correspondence.
3. Take and draft witness statements.
4. Conduct legal research to support client matters and litigation.
5. Represent clients in Employment Tribunals and Employment Appeal Tribunals.
6. Draft non‑contentious employment documents, including contracts and policies.
7. Build expertise in dispute resolution, including mediation.
8. Support other departments on employment aspects of corporate transactions (e.g., TUPE warranties and indemnities).
9. Assist in preparing and delivering client training and presentations.
10. Participate in wider team and firm business development initiatives.
You will ideally bring 0–3 years’ PQE and a genuine enthusiasm for employment law. You should have a strong client focus paired with good commercial awareness and the ability to build trusted relationships. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, along with a proactive approach to contributing to business development and supporting the continued growth of the team.
