Business Development Manager | Payments
A VC backed high growth payments business is hiring a Business Development Manager to drive new merchant acquisition and revenue growth across a defined territory.
This is a hands-on, front line sales role. You will own the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close, acting as the face of the business with merchants, partners and introducers. The focus is simple, win new clients, build trusted relationships, and grow a sustainable pipeline.
The role
* Proactively prospect and self generate leads within your territory
* Engage merchants to understand their payment needs and position tailored solutions
* Run confident, commercial product demos and proposals
* Build long-term relationships with clients, introducers and partners
* Track pipeline, activity and forecasts accurately in CRM
* Stay close to market trends, competitors and pricing dynamics
The right sales experience
* 5+ years in sales, with B2B experience and ideally 3 years in payments, merchant services, SaaS or fintech
* Proven track record of hitting and exceeding targets
* Confident, credible and self directed in the field
* Comfortable travelling within territory
