Safely dismantle and reassemble vehicles following repair estimates and manufacturer guidelines
Refit and reconnect electrical, mechanical, and trim components with precision
Support inspection processes by identifying additional damage or parts needs during repairs
Ensure all repairs meet high technical and cosmetic standards
Check parts availability, estimate matching, and handle unused components appropriately
Conduct quality assurance checks and safety tests to ensure vehicle integrity
Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment adhering to health and safety standards
Identify and report discrepancies or additional repair requirements
Support the workshop team to achieve efficiency in workflow and meet deadlines
Follow health and safety policies, use PPE correctly, and uphold safe working practices at all timesRequirements of the MET Technician:
Minimum of three years’ experience in vehicle dismantling and reassembly within an accident repair environment
Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and trim components
Ability to interpret repair methods, estimates, and technical instructions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Awareness of health and safety responsibilities in the workshop
IMI accreditation in MET is highly desirable
Experience working in bodyshops or accident repair centres is advantageous
