This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Temporary Accommodation Supply Team Leader to join our Housing Operations Team. The Role: We are seeking an experienced Temporary Accommodation Supply Team Leader with the drive and ability to deliver an efficient and effective temporary accommodation service for the borough. Your role will involve: Delivering an efficient and effective temporary accommodation service for the borough with responsibility for the procurement of temporary accommodation units from the private sector. The development, administration and management of in-house units of accommodation. Management and supervision of rent accounts and housing benefit payments, temporary accommodation placements and transfers. The management and administration of an effective estate management service for our in-house temporary accommodation units. What we are looking for: You will be educated to A level/NVQ3 level or equivalent. You will have extensive experience of leading and managing a temporary accommodation team within a local authority Housing Service. You will have a creative and innovative problem solving mind, being able to interpret and apply relevant legislation and undertake complex pieces of work. You will have experience of leading, managing, motivating and developing staff. You will have experience of working in and leading a busy, front line, customer-focused team. You will be experienced in working within a performance driven environment, meeting targets and managing and motivating a team to improve performance. What we offer: 32 days annual leave.
