Overview
Oswestry School is an independent, co-educational day & boarding school with an 11-18 Senior School of approximately 400 pupils and a 4-11 Prep School of approximately 120 pupils. The school emphasises pastoral care and community, and recently received a very good inspection report. Located in Oswestry, Shropshire, the school traces its history to 1407 and is one of the oldest independent schools in the country. It is situated in a beautiful area with good access to nearby towns and cities.
Alumni Relations Manager
Oswestry School invites applications for a part-time Alumni Relations Manager. The role aims to develop strong relationships with the alumni community and contribute to the school’s development and fundraising efforts. While being a former pupil is not essential, close association or detailed knowledge of Oswestry School is advantageous for building strong alumni relationships.
This role suits an individual with experience in event organisation and database management and the ability to connect alumni of all ages. A friendly and personable manner, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong organisational abilities are essential.
Responsibilities and requirements
* Manage alumni relations and engagement activities.
* Organise events and maintain the alumni database.
* Connect alumni of all ages and foster ongoing relationships with the school.
* Demonstrate a friendly, personable approach and strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Show excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
Hours, salary and location
Hours of work are part-time: 15 hours per week, full year (52 weeks). The role is flexible, but the successful candidate will be required to work on site for at least one day per week, with additional flexibility during busier periods. Salary will be dependent upon experience.
