SEND Teacher (SLD)

£600 - £800 Weekly Pay (PAYE - No Umbrella Company)
New Directions are working alongside one of their SEND Secondary Schools in the Liverpool area to recruit for a SEND Teacher. This is a long-term role which will commence in September for the full academic year. This is a full-time role, school hours are 08.30am - 3.30pm, staff briefings, meetings and parent's evenings will also be required. The school caters for the needs of children with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and require a SEND.
As a SEND Teacher you will:
* Implement Learning strategies across all areas of the national curriculum
* Promote Positive Behaviour
* Provide opportunities to experience a variety of play environments to stimulate the students and provide opportunities for risk, challenge and personal growth
* Be able to work well with Teaching Aquatints in the classroom
The role of a SEND Teacher requires patience, emotional and physical resilience. The successful SEND Teacher will be able to support students in participation on all areas of learning including academic studies, therapeutic specialist support, one of projects, life skills development and community-based development. Working with Special Educational Needs pupils requires a particular understanding and appreciation of the individual needs, such as physical limitations, learning, emotional, behavioural and language difficulties or problems with organisation.
