Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and fully qualified MOT Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be adept at using various hand and power tools. As an MOT Tester, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet DVSA MOT standards. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team to ensure the testing and repairing of vehicles in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for undertaking the required annual training and keeping records, within company time.
Duties
- Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles in accordance with legal requirements.
- Inspect vehicles for compliance with safety regulations, including brakes, lights, steering, and emissions.
- Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify vehicle issues and ensure accurate testing results.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and repairs performed.
- Communicate findings clearly to customers and provide recommendations for any necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Ensure the workshop is kept clean and organised at all times.
- Collaborate with other team members to promote a safe working environment.

Experience
- Proven experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar role within the automotive industry is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various hand tools and power tools effectively.
- A valid MOT testing licence is essential for this position.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.

Pay: £24,509.15-£30,500.00 per year
