Career Teachers are recruiting a Teaching Assistant / LSA to work in our Secondary School based in Southall. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-3:45 pm, supporting children with additional needs in a mainstream Secondary school.
If you have a passion for developing a career within Education and are seeking an opportunity to add value and support to young people, this could be the perfect role for you. This position is long-term with the view to go permanent and pays between £86-£105 per day on PAYE or Umbrella options.
General skills
As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) / Teaching Assistant (TA), you will have:
* Experience as a Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant in a UK school or hold a NARIC qualification
* Graduates with mentoring or tutoring experience (must be evidenced with a reference)
* Bachelor's/Master's degree in English, Maths, Science, Art, History, etc.
* Sports coaching experience
* In-person tutoring experience
* Cover supervisor / Exam invigilator looking to transition into a TA/LSA role
Responsibilities include:
* Ensuring students you support stay focused and on task
* Managing students' behaviour positively
* Following school policies on behaviour management
* Following instructions and work set by the Head of Department or class teachers
* Supporting students 1-1 and assisting the class teacher
