Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or someone passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs on a 1:1 basis? Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with a welcoming primary and secondary school in Sefton looking to appoint a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant.
This role involves providing tailored, consistent support to a pupil with additional needs, helping them access learning, manage emotions, and feel confident within the school environment.
The role will involve:
1. Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN (ASD, SEMH, ADHD, or related needs)
2. Supporting learning, engagement, and emotional regulation throughout the school day
3. Implementing behaviour and support strategies set by the SENCO and class teacher
4. Building a positive, trusting relationship with the pupil
5. Supporting inclusion within the classroom and wider school setting
This role is ideal for:
6. Experienced SEN Teaching Assistants or Learning Support Assistants
7. Psychology, education, or childcare graduates
8. Candidates with experience supporting SEN on a 1:1 basis
