We are seeking a professional, friendly, and well‑organised Temporary Workplace Receptionist to provide front‑of‑house support during a period of cover. This role is key to maintaining a positive first impression and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the workplace. You will act as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and colleagues, representing the business in a professional and weing manner at all times.
Your new role
In this role, your key duties will be –
1. Weing and signing in visitors, clients, and contractors in line with site procedures
2. Managing the reception desk and maintaining a professional front‑of‑house environment
3. Answering, screening, and directing iing telephone calls
4. Managing meeting room bookings and supporting meeting set‑ups as required
5. Handling iing and outgoing post and courier deliveries
6. Liaising with internal teams to announce visitors and support workplace needs
7. Providing general administrative support where required
8. Ensuring adherence to security, health and safety, and visitor protocols

Essential requirements:
9. Previous experience in a receptionist, front‑of‑house, or administrative role
10. Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills
11. Professional appearance and manner
12. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
13. Confident using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, basic Excel)
14. Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
What you'll get in return
You will get the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, professional environment. You will be based centrally and will work 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00. The rate of pay is £ per hour, inclusive of holiday pay. The role is initially for 4 weeks but may be extended due to performance and business needs.
