Job Title: Support Manager
Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire
Salary Range: £28,598 - £31,022 per annum (full-time), term time only
Contract: Full time, permanent
About the Setting
This specialist provision operates as a short-term alternative placement unit for pupils who are temporarily removed from mainstream school due to significant social, emotional, mental health or behavioural challenges. Located in Basingstoke, Hampshire, the site offers a calm, structured environment designed to support young people in transition, helping them to re-engage with learning and move successfully back to their mainstream or next placement. The pupils typically present with complex needs including social, emotional, communication and interaction difficulties (SECID) and often join the unit at a point when their needs are disrupting standard classroom provision. Staff work with urgency, care and precision to restore stability, embed positive routines and support reintegration into mainstream or specialist pathways.
This role could be a great step up for a very experienced member of school support staff or a break from the classroom for trained teachers.
