We are looking for a caretaker to work in a Primary School in Blackpool on a temporary basis.
The school requires an experienced hardworking school caretaker that can work on their own initiative, who is reliable, adaptable and proactive with a good attitude. There is an opportunity for this to go permanent for the right candidate.

The role and responsibilities
10. Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects on occasion
11. Carry out security procedures for the building
12. Notify management of needs for repairs
13. Stock and maintain the supply rooms
14. Follow all health and safety regulations
15. Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)
16. Opening and closing the school
17. Inspect building cleaning standards and cleaners' performance
18. Training new cleaners
19. Non specialist building maintenance work
20. Meter Readings
21. Accept deliveries and move to appropriate storage areas
22. During school holidays undertake floor treatment work i.e. preparation, application of polishes and seals and carpet shampooing, based on consultations between Estates Officer and Finance and Resources Manager. Inspect and maintain certain school equipment, effect minor repairs and report defects.
23. Make sure that all medical waste is sealed and placed ready for collection
24. Direct workmen and contractors to the site of repair and maintenance work. Inspect, monitor and record work performance.
You should already have school site supervisor or caretaker experience and have the relevant and up to date health and safety training (COSHH, ladder safety etc.) You will be supporting the school with a variety of tasks and will need to be confident when dealing with students, staff and visitors within school.
